Batool used to be the only Muslim girl on the soccer field. Now she’s seeing more Muslim women in soccer and in all sports.
“Regardless of your fitness level and regardless of how you choose to dress," she says, "I really do believe that sports are for everyone.”
“My brother was the one who introduced me to soccer and encouraged me to start playing at the age of 12. My sister and I are close in age, so we always play together. She motivates me to do better and always give it my all.”
Batool moves for physical and mental wellbeing.
“This is a sport that unites people from different backgrounds, from all around the world. We may speak different languages, but on the field we speak one - soccer."
